Sarah Schemper, MA, LPC, Sarah works with individuals and couples at Midtown Counseling and Schemper Counseling, as well as with Holland Public students through Midtown’s on-site counseling program. Her passion lies in helping people explore their interpersonal functioning, recognize patterns, clarify their values, and develop the skills and strategies needed to identify and pursue their goals. Through an attachment-focused and interpersonal lens, she believes many of our struggles and sources of pain are shaped by our relationships with others—and that relationships can also be a powerful context for healing and growth. She is passionate about walking alongside people as they develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the unique ways God has created and gifted them. Her hope is to create a space where clients can gain greater self-awareness, experience meaningful connection, and move toward living more authentically and intentionally.

Sarah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Dordt University, and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marshall University. Sarah has been married to her husband, Greg, for over twenty years, and they have two adult daughters.
